The Team
Alistair is the principal dentist at Martin Dental Care. Alistair qualified from Glasgow Dental School in 1984, and after a short spell in England, moved back to Glasgow in 1987. Alistair has a strong commitment to postgraduate education and has attended many courses in his key interests; implants and cosmetic dentistry. Since 2002 Alistair has been involved in the training and development of new dental graduates.
Ben Withers graduated from Glasgow Dental School in 2003. Ben is committed to providing the highest standard of care and continued dental education. He has attended many postgraduate courses in implant and cosmetic dentistry. Ben has recently completed a 2 year postgraduate diploma in advanced restorative/cosmetic dentistry allowing him to offer the latest dental techniques.
Tammy co-ordinates the day to day running of Martin Dental Care and focuses on costumer relationships and service. Tammy joined the team in 1993 and is well known to many of our patients. She manages to juggle the management of the practice with the job of bringing up her two children. Tammy has played a major part in the design and refurbishment of our new premises
Practice Team
After several years of customer service experience, Katrina joined us in 2010. She comes with a wealth of experience in customer care. Katrina overseas our team of receptionists in dealing with your appointments and administration. Our dedicatied team of nursing staff: Jane Miller, Ashleigh and Lisa Conkie, Lisa Tiinney & Margaret Douglas are fully qualified Dental Nurses and Gail Higgins, Lauren Miller who are undergoing training are here to make your dental visit as pleasant as possible.
Prevention Team
Jim Thomson – Hygiene therapist
Suzanne Agar – Hygienist
They are dedicated to ensuring that patients have a bespoke oral hygiene plan. Their philosophy is "prevention is better than cure." Jim is also a therapist and can undertake other dental treatment prescribed by the dentists.
